The modern slavery statements for ELC entities (including Estée Lauder Cosmetics Limited
in the UK and Estée Lauder Australia) state that:
• Suppliers must comply with all applicable laws, including those on forced, trafficked
and child labour.
• The Supplier Code of Conduct prohibits employing forced, trafficked, child, prison,
indentured or bonded labour, and forbids corporal punishment or other forms of
mental and physical coercion as discipline.
• Suppliers must not use or benefit from any form of human trafficking or
forced/compulsory labour, and mandatory overtime is not permitted; workers must
be free to leave employment after giving reasonable notice. The statements describe due-diligence, risk assessment, internal accountability and training
as tools to minimise modern slavery risks in operations and supply chains.
